Dallas: Best Dryer Vent Cleaning Services 2024

March 20th, 2024 | 5 min. read

By Louis Greubel

When was the last time you had a dryer vent cleaning? Maybe it was a while ago. Or maybe you’ve never cleaned your dryer vent. That’s okay — it’s something most people neglect. But it’s also vitally important and potentially lifesaving.

A U.S. Fire Administration report estimates 2,900 clothes dryer fires per year in the United States. These fires result in a handful of deaths, dozens of injuries, and millions of dollars in property damage. The most common cause? Lint buildup in the dryer vent.

So, how do you keep your vent clean? You have two options:

  1. You can use a DIY dryer vent cleaning kit
  2. You can hire a professional dryer vent service

At HY-C, we manufacture our own DIY dryer vent cleaning kit called LintEater. But we know not everyone is DIY-inclined. Some people prefer simply to leave the job to the pros. And if that describes you, you’re in the right place.

This guide is going to cover some of the top dryer vent cleaners in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We’ll cover these companies’ ratings, their prices (if they’re available), any other services each company might offer, and more.

By the time you’re finished here, you’ll have all the information you need to choose the right professional dryer cleaning service if you live in the DFW area.

Note that the companies here are listed in no particular order.

Guardian Home Services Dryer Vent Cleaning

Guardian Home Services has been around since 1945, and they’ve cultivated some good relationships during that time. The company says that their business model “relies heavily on the loyalty and relationships built from years of repeat service,” and that referrals are what drives most of their new business.

The company doesn’t list pricing online for their dryer vent cleaning services. They say that instead, they use “an adaptable pricing model to work around your system and your needs.” They do, however, list the scope of what their dryer vent cleaning services entail:

  1. They locate the dryer, its vent, and the vent’s exterior termination point
  2. They record the initial condition of your dryer and vent with pictures
  3. They unplug the dryer and turn off the gas line (if your dryer has one)
  4. They place tarps on your floor to minimize any potential mess
  5. They place a special rug beneath your dryer to protect your floor
  6. They then remove lint and debris from your dryer vent system

After service is complete, they check the vent for contaminants. They then reinstall any parts they may have removed from your dryer, they reconnect the vent hose, and they turn on your dryer to make sure it’s functioning properly.

Guardian even follows up within two weeks of service to make sure your dryer is running smoothly.

Fresh Air Duct Dryer Vent Cleaning

Fresh Air has received more reviews than any other company on this list with over 1,200. One of the first things you’ll notice when visiting their website is their readily available pricing. They charge $99 for a basic dryer vent cleaning.

They list prices for their other services, too, some of which include air duct cleaning and chimney cleaning. Fresh Air also installs UV air purifiers, install fireplaces and attic insulation, and more. They offer their services both commercially and residentially.

The company’s reach extends throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. To the north, they operate as far as Denton and McKinney. They’ll go out to Benbrook to the west, and Royse City to the east. On the south side of the area, they offer service as far out as DeSoto and Lancaster.

Quality Air Brothers

A family-owned business, Quality Air Brothers has been serving the Dallas area for over 17 years. Headquartered just outside of downtown between N Pearl Street and McKinnon Street, the company’s mission is to prioritize the safety and well-being of families through air quality solutions.

The company’s dryer vent cleaning services start at $99. Note that the price may increase based on a number of factors, including:

  • The size of your vent system
  • The extent of cleaning required
  • The location of your vent (e.g., if it terminates on the roof, goes under your home, etc.)

Also note that $99 covers the first 10 feet of your dryer vent. If you have a longer vent, you may have to pay a bit more.

Quality Air Brothers doesn’t just clean dryer vents. They also perform air duct cleaning services, chimney cleaning, and attic insulation services. The company operates in Plano, Arlington, Fort Worth, Frisco, Garland, Irving, and other areas in and around DFW.

Dr. Air Duct

Dr. Air Duct began in 1997. Since then, the company has completed over 180,000 projects. Located near the intersection of Spring Valley Road and the Dallas North Tollway, Dr. Air Duct is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

They don’t mention much about the specifics of their dryer vent cleaning process online. They also don’t provide prices for their services. But they do mention that they offer “competitive pricing” and promise “no hidden fees.”

If you need other services performed, the company offers plenty. Some of these include air duct cleaning, repair, sanitizing, and installation, chimney cleaning and repair, and more. They offer both residential and commercial services.

Dr. Air Duct serves many locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area; in fact, they list 60 online. They travel as far west as Azle and as far east as Royse City. They’ll go as far north as Pilot Point, Celina, and Anna, and as far south as Cleburne and Ennis.

Climate Doctors

Rounding out our list is another doctor — Climate Doctors. The company is certified by the Building Performance Institute and claims a combined 38 years of experience between its employees. They’re family-owned, and they service thousands of homes every year in the DFW metroplex.

While they do offer dryer vent cleaning, they don’t mention much about the process itself or how they perform it. They also don’t mention pricing on their website (though they do note that financing options are available).

They offer a bevy of other services, too. Between duct cleaning and sealing, attic insulation and radiant barriers, soffit vents, and more, Climate Doctors provides plenty of methods to ensure clean, healthy air in your home.

Which Dryer Vent Cleaning Service Should You Use?

That was our list — in no particular order — of some of the top dryer vent cleaning companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. But even in this already-narrowed list, it can be tough to decide which company to hire.

So — who should you choose?

Start by asking yourself what you want out of your service professional. If you prefer to know how much you’re going to pay ahead of time, Fresh Air Duct Cleaning and Quality Air Brothers have what you want.

If you want a tried-and-true company with lots of reviews, Guardian Home Services and Fresh Air Duct Cleaning may be what you’re after. Decide what you want, and hire the company whose offering matches your expectations.

In the meantime, if you want to clean your own dryer vent, take a look at our comparison of three of the top dryer vent cleaning kits on the market. They cost less than using a professional service, and you can use them yourself however many times you’d like.
