HY-C Website Relaunch 2024: Everything You Need to Know

On April 10th, 2024, HY-C launched a brand-new, revamped website. You’re using it right now, in fact. The site you’re on is the culmination of months of planning, creating, collaborating, writing, designing, and feedback.

It might not be perfect out of the gate. In fact, we expect to spend weeks (if not months) tweaking, adjusting, and modifying our new website to best fit the needs of our customers.

You may be asking, though, “Why did HY-C relaunch its website in the first place?

That’s exactly what we’re going to cover here. Whether you’re a homeowner or a current HY-C sales partner, this guide is going to explain why we updated our website, the changes that we made, and how they can help you.

Why did HY-C Relaunch HY-C.com?

Overhauling a website is not an easy process. It takes time, money, effort, and a whole lot of coffee. But there comes a point where the cost-benefit analysis dictates that the process is worthwhile. And at HY-C, we came to discover that we’d reached that point for a number of reasons.

On top of standard technical reasons like backend optimizations, improving mobile responsiveness, and enhancing page load speeds, there are three main reasons why we decided to reinvigorate our website:

  1. We wanted users to be able to navigate our website more easily
  2. We wanted to reimagine the way we present and discuss our family of brands
  3. We wanted to start better emphasizing the two audiences we serve: homeowners and sales partners

1. Improving Website Navigation

When you manufacture as many products under as many brands as we do, it’s important for people to be able to find those products online. Our old website did this well enough, but our business has changed a lot in the past 8 years since we last refreshed our website in 2016.

We’ve added new products to our lineup, we’ve consolidated others, we’re sunsetting some, and we’ve even acquired new brands. Our business has been growing, expanding, and diversifying, and launching a new website marks a new chapter in the storied history of HY-C.

Our website navigation has been substantially streamlined. You can view our selection of products in one of two ways:

2. The HY-C Brand Family

Our brands drive everything that we do at HY-C. Whether it’s our selection of Draft King chimney caps that have been keeping chimneys covered since 1947, our Fire Chief wood burning furnaces that heat homes across America, or our HY-GUARD EXCLUSION line of wildlife exclusion devices that help keep homes critter-free, the best way to get to know us is through our brands.

Launching a new website has allowed us to rethink how we tell the story of each of our brands. We’ve reconsidered what the products are for, who uses them, how they should be used, and how we should talk about each brand.

We currently house 9 brands on our website. Each one — whether they’ve been with us since the beginning, whether we launched them recently, or whether we’ve acquired them — has a unique, interesting story to tell. We encourage you to explore them!

3. Homeowners and Sales Partners

As a manufacturer, we don’t sell our products directly to the public. Instead, we rely on distributors, retailers, dealers, and, in some cases, technicians to get our products from our factory floor into houses throughout America.

This is perhaps one of the biggest reasons we developed our new website: to cater to the sales partners who sell our products, and the homeowners who use them.

So, how can both of these groups utilize our new website to improve their lives or grow their businesses? Let us explain.

Homeowners

1. Revamped Product Pages

If you’re a homeowner interested in using, learning about, or purchasing HY-C products, you’re in luck. Our new website presents our products better than ever before. The new product pages are packed with information, images, and guides to help you assemble, install, and use our products.

And if you get stuck, you won’t be on your own…

2. Customer Service

The new HY-C website features a new and improved customer service page. Our business hours are available, our phone number is listed, and, if you’re not one to talk on the phone, we have a form through which you can submit a question. After using it, your information will go right to our customer service inbox to be answered ASAP.

All of that is pretty standard fare, but what’s most exciting is that we’ve added a video to the page in which we introduce our bi-lingual customer service team. This way, you’ll get to know who you’re going to speak to before you even reach out.

3. Product Locator

Perhaps the feature of the new website that will serve homeowners best is our Product Locator. This tool tracks all of the retailers and dealers who carry and sell our products throughout the entire world. As a homeowner, you can use it to find HY-C products at stores online or in your area.

If you make use of it, be sure to call ahead to double check that the store has your SKU in stock!

Sales Partners

If you’re one of our sales partners, it’s important to understand our products in order to sell them. It’s also important that your retail or sales employees understand the products, too.

Luckily for you, our Learning Center contains a repository of free resources covering all of the products we manufacture. You’ll find in-depth guides, reviews, comparisons, and more content about HY-C products to help educate and train your staff and grow your business.

We add three new articles to the Learning Center every week, so it never stops growing. Be sure to utilize the HY-C Learning Center to help grow your business!

2. Product Locator

Our brand-new product locator contains a repository of every online and brick and mortar store that sells our products. If you’re one of them, think of the Product Locator as free advertising. If a customer in your area utilizes the tool, we’ll point them in your direction!

If you’re interested in being added to the Product Locator, be sure to get in touch. While we have close to 2,600 locations at this point, we’re always happy to add more.

3. Becoming a Sales Partner is Easier than Ever

When we developed the new website, one of the most important pages we constructed was our new sales partner homepage. This is especially useful for prospective sales partners. It contains all the information you need to start your partnership with HY-C and begin selling our products.

Whether you’re a distributor, a roofer or chimney sweep who installs chimney caps, a wildlife control operator, or a franchisee who owns dozens of retail stores, if you’re interested in selling HY-C products, we want to hear from you. All you need to do to get started is fill out a quick form to find your account manager!
