If you work in the pest and wildlife world long enough, you start to notice patterns.
Certain buildings generate repeat activity. The same details show up on inspections again and again. More often than not, metal roofs and modern exterior systems are part of the problem.
That’s not because metal buildings are “bad.” They’re built for airflow, drainage, and expansion, and those design features create small, consistent openings that pests and wildlife learn to exploit.
Most callbacks aren’t caused by missed holes. They’re the result of misunderstood details. It’s a reality Pest-Blok inventor Will Langman noticed early on, and one that we’ve worked closely with him to address. When the exclusion method is matched to the structure — ridge to ridge, rib to rib, corner to corner — problems stop repeating, and the work finally starts to feel finished.
That’s the role of Pest-Blok™ by HY-GUARD EXCLUSION®, developed in partnership with Langman: structure-specific tools for professionals who already know what they’re looking at and just need the right way to close it.
Pest-Blok by HY-GUARD EXCLUSION is a family of precision-engineered exclusion solutions designed to close access points on metal roofs, metal siding, and vinyl-sided homes.
These products deliver mechanical, long-term protection for specific structural cavities instead of relying on foam, sealants, or improvised metal. Each solution preserves proper airflow, drainage, and exterior appearance while still providing professional-grade exclusion for nuisance animals and infestations.
All HY-GUARD EXCLUSION Pest-Blok products have been manufactured in America from Paint-Lock Galvalume Steel™ and are precision laser-cut for consistent fit and durability.
Designed specifically for metal roof ridges, Corrugated Exclusion Inserts install between panel ribs beneath the ridge cap to block exposed corrugation gaps — one of the most common attic and roof entry points for birds, rodents, bats, and insects.
Each insert is made for easy screw-in installation and formed to match corrugated panel profiles, or the ridges in the roof panels. They can be cut on-site for a precise fit. Once installed under the ridge cap, Corrugated Exclusion Inserts create a strong, low-profile barrier that allows airflow while keeping animals out.
Unlike foam or sealants, these inserts last long-term, resist water and UV damage, and fit neatly into the roof system without creating a messy finish.
We manufacture the product in black to blend with universal shadows, but because the insert is partially visible after installation, it’s also available in color-matched finishes through Langman to blend more cleanly with the roof system.
Because application requires fasteners, Langman considers Corrugated Exclusion Inserts the initial step in the process.
Corrugated Exclusion Strips provide continuous, nearly three-foot coverage to seal corrugation voids along ridges and lower panel edges, eliminating the need for individual inserts at each rib.
They’re available in four precision-formed profiles for the four most commonly-used metal panel systems today:
Each piece is made in two versions — one for the top ridge of the roof and one for the lower edge — allowing installers to fully close off exposed gaps along both edges of the panel system.
Like the Corrugated Exclusion Inserts, Corrugated Exclusion Strips create a low-profile, mechanical barrier that preserves proper airflow, drainage, and roof performance while keeping out birds, rodents, bats, and insects.
With no added fasteners and lower visibility, inventor Langman considers Corrugated Exclusion Strips the next step after Corrugated Exclusion Inserts.
Rib Blok is a pre-formed metal insert designed to seal exposed steel rib cavities on metal roofing and siding systems.
It installs directly into rib cavities to block insects, mice, birds, and other small wildlife while preserving airflow and drainage. The precision fit removes the need for guesswork on the job and creates a clean, professional finish.
Rib Blok is ideal for ridges, transitions, and anywhere open rib cavities create a vulnerability.
Corner Blok is designed to guard standard vinyl corner post cavities, ranging from 2-3/4” to 5-1/2”. It installs directly into corner post cavities, blocking mice, squirrels, raccoons, birds, and other wildlife that often use these channels to enter wall systems.
Because corner cavities are one of the most frequent access points on sided homes, Corner Blok’s laser-cut consistency and clean edges provide professional, repeatable fits on most vinyl corner posts.
Corner Blok outperforms plastic alternatives with superior durability, corrosion resistance, and a clean, finished look trusted by pest and wildlife professionals.

When exclusion matches the structure, callbacks drop, installs get cleaner, and the work lasts longer. Built from Langman’s real-world experience, these solutions address some of the most common — and most overlooked — entry points professionals face on metal roofs and modern exterior systems.
Stay tuned for the official launch, and join us at the NWCOA Wildlife Expo 2026 from February 10-12 in Las Vegas, Nevada to see Pest-Blok by HY-GUARD EXCLUSION in action.
